Tournaments
Tournaments and tournament dates are selected by the teams’ coaches. It is the responsibility of all parents and youth participating on a DYS tournament teams to attend practices and tournaments. Practicing as a team is an essential part of this competitive format. Unexcused absences could result in loss of playing time. It is the responsibility of the player or parents/guardian of that player to make sure that practices are attended or to notify the coach of any planned absences.

Softball 2025 Tournament Team Tryouts:
Saturday, Oct.19th in the Denmark High School Gold Gym (Field House).
Start Time:
8U – 1:00pm
10U – 2:00pm
12U – 3:00pm
14U - 4:00pm
Players that are currently in high school do not need to try out for tournament team.
Players that are currently in high school do not need to try out for tournament team. Denmark softball tournament teams are for Denmark School district families only, we do not allow players from outside the school district to play on our tournament teams. This tryout is only for players interested in tournament team; this is separate than recreational league. Tournament teams are 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U.
The official registration and payment for tournament softball will open shortly after tryouts. The registration process will be shared after tryouts are complete. All players, including High School players will need to register during the open window so we can confirm numbers.

**NEW** We have officially made the switch to the USA Softball Age (Age as of August 31st) cut off rather than Jan 1st. Players should attend the tryout using the new age cut off regardless of where they may have played if we had not adopted the new age cutoff.
Player Eligibility:
· 8U team must be 8 years or younger as of August 31st, 2024
· 10U team must be 10 years or younger as of August 31st, 2024
· 12U team must be 12 years or younger as of August 31st, 2024
· 14U team must be 14 years or younger as of August 31, 2024
Each athlete will be charged $180 to play on the tournament teams. This fee includes jersey top, tournaments and tournament team league games. Tournament players are expected to play in the summer tournament team league (8 games, 4 dates in Denmark, 4 in Greater Green Bay Area, same as 2024 season) which should once again be on Wednesday evenings.
